Regional Format Registry entry

Configure EMu to use the decimal separator specified in a user's Windows regional settings.

Usage

This Registry entry can be assigned to users, groups and system-wide:

enable the regional formatting of all currency / float columns irrespective of the current user's EMu Data language.

false

disable the regional formatting of all currency / float columns.

Note: In the absence of this Registry entry, a value of false is assumed.

language

enable the regional formatting of all currency / float columns using a region based on the user's current EMu Data language: the decimal separator symbol used is determined by the Data language selected, e.g.:

In this example, the decimal separator used will be that specified for English (Australia):

The user's current region if it is an Arabic region, otherwise Arabic (Saudi Arabia).

Important

When this functionality is enabled the user MUST use the region designated decimal separator character when entering float or currency values, including when using the Import Tool.

However, when searching and in Default Values (i.e. Query and Insert Defaults) the region designated decimal separator character OR the full-stop character may be used.
