Multimedia | Operations Registry entry

Assign permissions to users / groups for managing image resolutions and document formats.

This entry is used to assign permissions to users / groups for the management of image resolutions and document formats. Any combination of the following privileges can be assigned:

  • Add
  • Delete
  • Generate
  • Update

When this entry has been set, the user / group (or everyone in the case of a System setting) will have access to the Multimedia Toolbar (on the Resolutions, Documents and Supplementary tabs of the Multimedia module), and the Multimedia menu will include entries for the assigned privileges. For example, users with the Delete permission assigned will have access to both:

  • The Delete option on the Multimedia tab of the Ribbon in the Multimedia module.
  • The Delete button in the Multimedia Toolbar on the Resolutions and Supplementary tabs and Delete button on the Documents tab.

    Note: If this entry has not been set, users will be unable to add, delete or generate image resolutions and document formats.

Usage

This Registry entry can be assigned to users, groups and system-wide:

where:

priv;priv;... is a semicolon separated list of privileges:
Add A different image format may be added to the Resolutions / Documents / Supplementary table. The user is presented with a file browser window to select the file to attach in the case of images / documents.

Delete

An image resolution / document format may be deleted from the Resolutions / Documents / Supplementary table.

Note: It is not possible to delete the master image and thumbnail from the Resolutions table, nor the master document from the Documents tables.
Generate A new image resolution format may be generated from the master.

Update

The Multimedia>Update Resource menu option is enabled in the Multimedia module.
