Regional Format Registry entry

Configure EMu to use the decimal separator specified in a user's Windows regional settings.

Usage

This Registry entry can be assigned to users and groups:

where:

column or Default

is a back-end column name; or use Default for all columns in the specified table(s).

boolean

is true (the decimal separator specified in a user's Windows regional format settings is recognised by EMu) or false (the decimal separator specified in a user's Windows regional format settings is not recognised by EMu).

Note: In the absence of this Registry entry, a value of false is assumed.

When this Registry entry is specified, the decimal separator symbol used in EMu is determined by the Data language selected:

The decimal separator is determined by the following Windows setting:

All Languages

The user's current Regional format.

In this example, the decimal separator used will be that specified for English (Australia):

Windows Regional Settings

English

A user's Regional format if it is an English speaking region, otherwise English (United Kingdom).

English (US)

The decimal separator used will be that specified for English (United States).

French

The decimal separator used will be that specified for French (France).

French (CA)

The decimal separator used will be that specified for French (Canada).

Arabic

The decimal separator used will be that specified for Arabic (Saudi Arabia).

Note: Irrespective of the decimal symbol specified in the Windows Settings the full stop character can always be used for searching for or entering the decimal portion of a float or currency value.

This entry specifies that EMu recognises the digital separator specified in the Windows Regional format settings for all columns in all modules and for all users:
