Tips and Troubleshooting

- If you delete a field from a report in EMu, you must remove any references to that field in all Crystal Reports linked to that EMu report. If you do not do so, the report will not run.
If you run a report in EMu and receive an error indicating that the fields have been changed, open the report in Crystal Reports Designer, select Database>Verify from the Menu bar and the deleted fields will be removed.
- If you want to remove a field from a Crystal report, you can do so without affecting the running of the report. However it is recommended that you also remove the field in the EMu report. This will make your report generate faster because there will be less information to output.

If you have added fields to the EMu report, you must:
- Open the Crystal report.
- Select Database>Verify the Database from the Menu bar.
Now you can use the additional fields in the report.

To test your report with a new set of records:
- Run a new search in EMu to find the required records.
- Generate the report for all the records.
This will produce the required .csv files.
- Open the related Crystal report.
- Select Report>Refresh Report Data from the Menu bar.
The report will be updated with the data from the new search.
- Preview your report in Crystal Reports before saving it to the EMu server. If the report works in Crystal Reports, it will work via EMu.
